Dr. Thodiyil, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 31 years of experience and is a Bariatric Surgery and General Surgery specialist. His area of expertise includes – revision bariatric surgery and D2 lymphadenectomy for gastric cancer, minimally invasive metabolic and bariatric  urgery, Robotic Nissen’s, Heller myotomy, and repair of paraesophageal hernias as well as recurrent ventral hernias.

Medical background:

He got his Medical Degree from the University of Ibadan. He completed his Surgical Residency from Hammersmith Hospital, London and further did a clinical fellowship in esophagogastric surgery at USC+LAC Medical Center in Los Angeles . Thereafter he acquired his Fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery from the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.
