Her area of surgical expertise includes – Bariatric Surgeries, Breast Surgeries, Breast Surgical Oncology, Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterological Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Oncoplastic Surgeries, and Robotic Surgeries.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She acquired her Medical Degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. For her Surgical Residency, she went to the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Usc Medical Center. She completed her Fellowship Training in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatrics, from UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Basa is Certified in ‘ Breast Ultrasound’ by the American Society of Breast Surgeons and is the only certified Breast Surgeon in Austin and surrounding areas.
