Dr. Pilcher, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 29 years of experience and has performed more than 5000 bariatric surgical procedures. He is also skilled in Laparoscopic, Minimally Invasive, and Robotic Surgery. He was the first surgeon in South Texas to perform the Gastric Bypass procedure through Laparoscopy, in early 2000. His expertise includes- Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Band, and revision bariatric surgery as well as the  plication of the latest robotic techniques for bariatric surgeries.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, from the University of Virginia. Thereafter, he got his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia, Cincinnati School Of Medicine and continued further in the University to complete his Surgical Residency.
