Dr. Golas’s “patient first” approach is evident in his daily practice and reflects values he developed during many years of training. After Receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Public Health from Indiana University in Bloomington, Dr. Golas received his Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a General Surgery Residency followed by a Bariatric and Minimally-Invasive Surgery Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Golas has served in leadership roles during both his training and practice. He has contributed to a number of scientific publications and his work has been published in many respected journals, including Cancer Research and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.

Dr Golas is married and a proud father of three. He and his wife, Amanda enjoy traveling and have had the pleasure of visiting most of the National Parks in the United States. In his spare time, he enjoys projects at home, boating, fishing, landscaping, and attempting to master the art of grilling.
