He went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio. He completed his Surgical Medical Degree at Rush University Medical Center at John H. Stroger Hospital, Cook County. He did his Fellowship Training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
