He got his Medical Degree from McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed his Laparoscopic Surgical Residency Training from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. For his Fellowship Training in Surgical Critical Care, he went to the University of Texas, Houston, TX.
