He got his Medical Degree from the Universidad de Montemorelos School of Medicine. He completed his Surgical Residency training from Loma Linda University, Medical Center in Southern California. Thereafter, he went to the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for his Fellowship Training in minimally-invasive, bariatric, and robotic surgery.
