He attained his Medical Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his Surgical Residency from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. For Fellowship Training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, he went to Providence Hospital, affiliated with Howard University in Washington DC.
