He initially graduated with a Degree in Biology from Wheaton College in Illinois then further acquired a Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his Surgical Residency from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. For Fellowship Training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, he went to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
