Dr. Guillermo Higa, M.D.

Bariatric Surgeon

Bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve, gastric bypass and more) is currently the only long-term effective treatment for patients suffering from obesity. And while surgery may seem like a drastic option, the medical issues and lifestyle limitations caused by obesity create both tangible and intangible problems.

Indeed, the most common feedback we hear from our post-op patients is that they wish they had done it sooner.

And while they may look better, the true victory is that many of the diseases associated with morbid obesity have improved or resolved entirely and they can perform activities that would once have been considered impossible.
