He got his bachelors in biology from Austin College and went further to attain his Medical Degree from Texas Tech University. He completed his Surgical Residency from Parkland Memorial Hospital and acquired Fellowship Training in laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
