Richard DiCicco, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified general and MBSAQIP Verified Bariatric Surgeon at HCA Florida Surgical Weight Loss Specialists. He is also the current Director of Bariatric Surgery at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital, which is both an MBSAQIP accredited facility, as well as a Bariatric Center of Excellence Hospital.
Dr. DiCicco started performing bariatric operations robotically in 2015. He has completed over 1900 robotic bariatric operations. He performs gastric sleeves, bypasses, duodenal switch, SADI/SIPS, revisional bariatric operations and many band removals robotically. He hosts an EpiCenter Case Observation Center as well as provides mentoring, proctoring, and training for surgeons that travel both nationally and internationally to learn and observe robotic bariatric surgery.
