He obtained his Medical Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. He completed his Surgical Residency training from the Sound Shore Medical Center/New York Medical College and further did his Fellowship Training in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery from the Laparoscopic Center of South Florida.
