Dr. Dunshee joined our faculty in 2017, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His clinical interests include Bariatric and Metabolic surgery for the treatment of obesity and its effects. His practice consists of a broad range of general surgery, but he also has a special interest in Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Surgery, including treatment of hiatal hernia, GERD, and other surgery of the foregut.

Education:

Undergraduate: Duke University, with honors in Zoology.
Medical School: University of Kansas, School of Medicine, graduating in 1995.
General Surgery Training: Completed a six-year General Surgery training program at The Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University.
Master of Business Administration (MBA): Completed his MBA at East Carolina University concurrently with his surgical training.
