In 2009, Dr. Sharadh Sampath received his degree in general surgery from the University of British Columbia. Upon completing his general surgery degree, he took admission for the advanced laparoscopic surgery at the Richmond Hospital in 2010 and completed it.

Additionally, Dr. Sharadh Sampath, has done multiple special training courses in bariatric surgery in Belgium, France, Seattle, and Victoria before he started treating the patients with obesity. These courses helped him to get the maximum expertise in several bariatric treatments and surgeries.
