He obtained his Medical Degree from Baylor University with honors in surgical rotations. He completed his Surgical Residency from the University of Colorado Health Science Center, Denver. He was Chief Resident in his final year there. For his Fellowship Training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, he went to the University of Texas Health Science Center.
