Dr. Philip Lockie is a highly qualified and experienced general surgeon with a special interest in upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery, bariatric surgery, and laparoscopic hernia repair. He holds both Australian and UK training and qualifications, and is known for his expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

He has been performing Bariatric procedure for 15 years and he has been working with the same multidisciplinary team, based at Stafford Road, for that length of time. His multidisciplinary team is focussed on “expert care -excellent results” and conduct monthly multidisciplinary team meetings.  In addition, Dr. Phil Lockie has a bariatric support group managed by Dr. Michele Van Vuuren (the practice psychologist), which has been running monthly for 15 years.
