Dr. Wood, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon and Bariatric Surgery specialist with extensive surgical experience. He has performed countless weight-loss surgeries and his area of surgical expertise includes – Minimally Invasive Surgery, laparoscopic/robotic and open Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, laparoscopic/robotic sleeve gastrectomy, robotic duodenal switch and laparoscopic adjustable gastric band.

He got his Medical Degree from the Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. He did his Surgical Residency at the DMC Harper University Hospital, Detroit, MI. Further, he did his Fellowship Training in advanced laparoscopic procedures, from the same University.
