Dr. Arumugam, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon, specialized in minimally invasive surgery, general surgery, and bariatric surgery. Her surgical skills are in – hernias, gallbladder disease, skin problems, soft tissue disease, along with intestinal and colon abnormalities. She is also skilled in laparoscopic surgery techniques as well as da Vinci® robotic surgery. She is an expert in the management of diaphragmatic (Hiatal) hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Medical background:

She did her Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her Surgical Residency training from the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She got
her Fellowship Training in advanced gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery, from New York University Winthrop Hospital.
