He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Aberdeen. He completed his Surgical Residency training from Stanford University Medical Center, and Brooks General Hospital/Northwick Park Hospital. Further, he went to the University of California, San Francisco, to do his Fellowship Training in Laparoscopic Surgery.
