Dr. Wittgrove, MD, is a ​board-certified general surgeon and a Bariatric Surgery specialist. He has performed over 10,000 bariatric surgeries till now. He performed the first laparoscopic gastric bypass in the world as a primary surgeon in 1993 and is known as the “father of laparoscopic gastric bypass”.
