While practicing with South Mississippi Surgeons, he developed a special interest and expertise in laparoscopic surgery which stimulated his involvement in bariatric surgery. In 2000, he started a bariatric surgery program in Ocean Springs, Mississippi called South Mississippi Surgical Weightloss Center. This program attracted patients from around the country and gave Dr. Warden a national reputation for excellence in bariatric surgery. In 2003, Dr. Warden subsequently relocated to the Greater New Orleans area, joining the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana, where his practice could focus predominantly on bariatric surgery. He continues the practice of bariatric surgery today, where he enjoys helping people with obesity shed the pounds, and shed the burden of a lifelong disease that results in many associated medical problems, a shortened lifespan and often, a diminished quality of life. His many successful patients should serve as an inspiration for others to let us help them down the path to a healthier, lighter, happier life.
